My love for film began at the tender age of 13 years old when my single parent Mother bought me a Toshiba digital camcorder for Christmas.

Although it wasn't long before I broke it (I can be very clumsy) my tenacity for storytelling and filmmaking only grew bigger and bigger. After working as a receptionist at 16, I eventually managed to buy my first camera and the rest is history.

Since then, I've had an exciting ride, landing my first industry role straight out of university at BBC Comedy and then soon after becoming an NFTS, Film London, BAFTA CREW and John Brabourne recipient and alumni along with multiple awards under my belt.

I have a wide range of expertise working across script development, New Business in TVC Commercials and Directing narrative work.

I am incredibly passionate about improving the current state of representation & inclusion and have taught at; the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Buckinghamshire New University and Met Film School.

I have also founded a platform called The Main In Stream Is Dead’ where I create educational tools for emerging talent all while offering free mentorships for young & underrepresented filmmakers.

I love hybrid genres and getting the opportunity to really explore my voice as a Filmmaker. I currently have an array of projects in development across the television and feature film format.

Ella’s work has been featured on: Complex U.K, BBC, Boiler Room, Google U.K, London Live, SUBTV, Kyra TV, Screendaily and Film London to name a few.
